Responding to a call for equity in the dharma, Anraku Sensei co-founded with RyÅ«mon H. BaldoquĆn Sensei, Two Streams Zen in Westhampton, Massachusetts in the U.S. A dharma teacher and Soto Zen priest, she is a dharma heir of Enkyo O'Hara Roshi in the White Plum lineage of Taizan Maezumi Roshi. Formerly a professional modern dancer and choreographer, now a Doctor of Chiropractic, Anraku Sensei is trained in Internal Family Systems and Somatic Experiencing, with thirty years in private practice, and a decade as a Buddhist Chaplain in university and private, liberal arts colleges. Weaving her vast knowledge of the human body with Zen teachings and practice, Anraku's innovative approaches to healing trauma through embodiment include: exploring joyful movement, courageous creative expression, and reclaiming the first language of all mammals, touch.
